About the Role
We are looking for a pragmatic, detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join our engineering organization. In this full-time, mid-level role (roughly 2+ years of QA experience), you will ensure the quality and reliability of our web and API-based products by combining manual testing with effective automation.
What You'll Do
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, cases and scripts for features, integrations, and APIs.
• Create and maintain automated test suites using modern tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Perform functional, API, integration, regression, and exploratory testing to surface defects and usability issues.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps to ensure consistent automated test execution and reporting.
• Report, triage, and verify defects; work closely with developers and product owners to prioritize fixes.
• Use SQL and API testing tools to validate backend behavior and data integrity.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and help continuously improve QA processes and standards.
What We're Looking For
• 2+ years of hands-on QA experience with a mix of manual and automated testing.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java).
• Hands-on API testing experience (Postman, REST-assured, etc.) and familiarity with RESTful services.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile workflows and tools such as Jira and TestRail.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication across teams.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications and APIs (manual and automated).
- Build and maintain automation suites using modern frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) to cover regression and smoke scenarios.
- Perform functional, integration, API, and regression testing; participate in exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
- Integrate and run tests in CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps to ensure reliable automated test execution and reporting.
- Log, track, and verify defects using bug-tracking tools; work with engineering teams to reproduce and prioritize fixes.
- Validate back-end systems and database interactions using SQL queries and API testing tools (Postman, REST-assured, or similar).
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
- Create and maintain clear test documentation, acceptance criteria, and release checklists; mentor junior QA contributors as needed.
