Overview
We are seeking a pragmatic, detail-oriented Software Developer to join a collaborative engineering team building scalable, customer-facing software. In this role you will design, implement, test, and maintain features across the full stack, driving quality and performance while partnering closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver impactful solutions.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an agile environment, has a strong foundation in software engineering principles, and is motivated to continuously improve code quality, tooling, and delivery processes. You will have the opportunity to influence architecture decisions and help mentor junior engineers as the team grows.
Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain clean, well-tested code for new features and enhancements across services and applications.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners to translate requirements into technical designs and delivery plans.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure reliability and prevent regressions.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and share best practices to improve team quality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues, including performance tuning and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and observability to streamline delivery and operations.
• Work with databases and APIs (SQL/NoSQL, REST/GraphQL) to model and retrieve data efficiently and securely.
• Document designs, APIs, and runbooks to ensure shared knowledge and maintainable systems.
• Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies that improve team productivity.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience, or demonstrable software development experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience building production systems, or equivalent demonstrated ability.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go) and familiarity with related ecosystems.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs or GraphQL services and designing data models for SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Practical experience with version control (Git), automated testing, and a CI/CD toolchain.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with attention to code quality, performance, and security.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment and participating in sprint planning and estimation.
