Job description
Overview
We are seeking a pragmatic, results-driven Software Developer to join our engineering team and help build reliable, scalable products that solve real customer problems. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle — from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and maintenance — collaborating closely with product managers, designers, QA, and operations to deliver high-quality features and improvements.
Responsibilities
• Design, implement, test, and maintain reliable, maintainable code for web and/or backend services.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into technical solutions and deliver features on schedule.
• Write automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
• Build and consume well-documented RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and third-party services.
• Participate in system design discussions and contribute ideas to improve performance, scalability, and security.
• Deploy and operate services in cloud environments; monitor production systems and respond to incidents.
• Refactor and reduce technical debt while maintaining stability of shipped features.
• Document designs, decisions, and runbooks; mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the team.
• Adopt agile practices, participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to improve delivery.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, or comparable professional experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience building production applications or services (adjustable for seniority).
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (for example JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, or Go) and comfort learning new languages and frameworks.
• Experience with web technologies and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) or backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js/Express, Django/Flask, Spring).
• Strong understanding of data modeling and experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Familiarity with version control workflows using Git and branching strategies, plus experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated builds.
• Solid debugging skills, attention to detail, and a test-first mindset with experience writing automated tests.
• Good communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Prior experience contributing to production outages, postmortems, and operational improvements is a plus.
