Job Summary
We are seeking a pragmatic, detail-oriented Software Developer to join a collaborative engineering team building reliable, scalable applications that power key business outcomes. You will work across the full software development lifecycle — from designing and implementing features to testing, deploying, and monitoring — and will contribute to product decisions that directly impact our customers.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with solid engineering fundamentals, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to deliver production-quality code in an Agile environment. You will partner closely with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineers to ship clean, maintainable solutions and continuously improve our development practices.
Responsibilities
• Design, implement, test, and maintain scalable, high-quality software features and services.
• Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and implementation plans.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with a focus on readability, performance, and testability.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services and data sources.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and help enforce best practices and coding standards.
• Develop and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and use CI/CD pipelines to deliver reliable releases.
• Profile, debug, and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
• Contribute to technical design discussions, architecture improvements, and refactoring efforts.
• Maintain and improve development documentation, runbooks, and onboarding material.
• Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications
• 2+ years of professional software development experience, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, C#) and familiarity with its ecosystem and tooling.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and object-oriented or functional design principles.
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and working with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Practical experience with Git-based workflows and collaboration (branching, pull requests, code reviews).
• Familiarity with automated testing methodologies and tools (unit/integration tests, test runners, mocking).
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tooling and practices.
• Good problem-solving skills, effective verbal and written communication, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Preferred: experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Preferred: prior experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and contributing to system design and architecture decisions.
