Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Software Developer to join our engineering team and help build dependable, user-focused software. You will be responsible for delivering features from design through production while contributing to code quality, performance, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
• Design and implement maintainable, testable code for backend services and/or user interfaces.
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA to refine requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Create and consume APIs, integrate with services, and ensure secure, scalable interactions.
• Write automated tests and participate in CI/CD to keep deployments reliable and fast.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality and documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, and contribute to monitoring and observability efforts.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficient in one or more languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), Git, automated testing, and modern web or backend frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain maintainable, well-documented code for web and/or backend services.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver solutions end-to-end.
- Implement APIs, integrations, and user-facing features with a strong focus on performance, security, and scalability.
- Write automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and participate in continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and architecture discussions to raise the team's quality bar.
- Debug, profile, and resolve production issues; proactively monitor and improve system reliability.
- Contribute to technical design, estimation, and sprint planning; help break down complex problems into actionable tasks.
- Champion best practices for version control, branching, release processes, and documentation.
- Continuously learn and apply new tools, frameworks, and patterns to improve delivery speed and product quality.
