Role Overview
We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build reliable, scalable systems that power our core products. You will be responsible for designing and delivering features end-to-end, improving architecture, and ensuring production reliability while partnering closely with product and design teams.
What You Will Do
• Design, implement, test, and ship high-quality, maintainable software across the stack.
• Own features end-to-end: gather requirements, create technical designs, estimate work, and deliver to production.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate product goals into technical solutions.
• Contribute to architecture and system design decisions that improve scalability, availability, and performance.
• Write automated tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable releases.
• Perform code reviews and provide actionable feedback to elevate code quality and team standards.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, sharing best practices for coding, testing, and system thinking.
• Monitor services in production, investigate incidents, and drive post-incident improvements.
• Drive technical debt reduction and refactoring efforts to keep the codebase healthy.
Minimum Qualifications
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript) and familiarity with modern frameworks.
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and complexity analysis.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and associated services.
• Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code concepts.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD tooling, automated testing, and observability (logging, metrics, tracing).
• Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and mentor teammates.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
