Job description
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support our growing organization by managing the full employee lifecycle — from recruiting and onboarding to performance management, benefits administration, and employee relations. You will be a hands-on HR partner to leaders and employees, ensuring consistent, compliant, and positive people processes that enable the business to meet its goals.
The successful candidate will contribute to HR policy implementation, HRIS maintenance, and continuous improvement of employee experience and culture. This role suits someone who is organized, communicative, and able to balance day-to-day operational HR work with longer-term people initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes: write job postings, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support hiring decisions.
• Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth welcome and timely completion of paperwork and trainings.
• Administer employee benefits and coordinate with vendors for enrollments, changes, and open enrollment activities.
• Support payroll administration by ensuring accurate and timely submission of employee data, time-off records, and related documentation.
• Act as a first point of contact for employee relations issues; investigate concerns, coach managers, and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain and update HRIS and employee records; generate routine HR reports and metrics to inform leadership.
• Support performance management processes including goal setting, performance reviews, and improvement plans.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies; assist in policy development and updates.
• Coordinate training and development programs, logistics, and tracking for required and optional learning.
• Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that enhance engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist role or similar environment.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, ADP) and proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
• Working knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance obligations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, confidentiality, and sound judgment when handling sensitive employee matters.
• Experience managing recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and performance management processes.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred but not required.
