About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Frontend Developer to join our product engineering team and help build polished, high-performance user experiences. You will own the implementation of user-facing features, collaborate closely with designers and backend engineers, and contribute to a shared component library and design system that scales across our web applications.
This role is ideal for someone who cares about usability, accessibility, and best practices in modern web development. You will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and business metrics by delivering fast, reliable, and maintainable front-end code.
Responsibilities
• Translate UX designs and wireframes into responsive, accessible, and reusable UI components.
• Develop and maintain web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React) and TypeScript.
• Implement and evolve a component library/design system to ensure consistency across products.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reduce regressions.
• Optimize front-end performance, including load times, runtime performance, and bundle size.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on API design, data fetching strategies, and error handling.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and follow established development workflows (Git, branching, PRs).
• Monitor and debug production issues, work with SRE/DevOps for deployments, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Advocate for accessibility (WCAG) and cross-browser compatibility in all features.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge through documentation and team practices.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of professional front-end development experience (or equivalent demonstrable experience).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and modern HTML/CSS techniques.
• Experience building applications with React and TypeScript (or equivalent modern framework + typed language).
• Familiarity with state management patterns and libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API, Zustand).
• Experience writing tests using frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library or similar.
• Practical knowledge of responsive design, CSS methodologies (BEM, CSS Modules, Styled Components), and layout techniques.
• Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience implementing accessible components.
• Experience with build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite), and familiarity with performance optimization techniques.
• Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows; experience with CI/CD is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, and a pragmatic problem-solving mindset.
